Educational handouts for future reference were also made available.
Guest speakers were health professionals from the local area, while the videos were produced by nationally known natural healer and professional clinical herbalist, Steven Horne. The informal, hands-on, and caring environment of the classes allowed for everyone to feel comfortable in asking questions regarding the information presented. Several attendees remarked that they “come to each class because they feel loved and cared for by everyone.”
Because we asked for a voluntary donation each week to cover the cost of handouts and rent, we were able to have some fun while learning. In the past, at Christmas time we had a party and pot-luck, visit by Santa followed by the viewing of a humorous, health related movie. At the end of the season, we had a “Bust-Up” party and pot-luck including an awards ceremony where everyone who attended 10 hours or more received a Certificate of Attendance, suitable for framing that indicated the number of hours they attended.
We need a new space to meet. If you know of one, please contact Claudia Bricks at 920-457-0525 or email cjbricks@excel.net. Affordable Natural Health consultations are also available. Call Claudia for details.
